Mia has been an occupational therapist for 25+ years. She has worked in multiple settings for adults and geriatrics. Her passion for children has led to working in the following pediatric settings: home healthcare, providing early intervention services, acute care and outpatient post acute care hospital departments, school settings in various counties and her all time favorite, outpatient pediatrics. She finds the human body and mind fascinating. She is a South-African-American mom with Jamaican-American children, and a Chinese dog with a Japanese name.
